If Sewly does not work for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. You can also cancel anytime: your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. This page explains how it works.
The 14-day refund
- It covers the first payment for a paid plan on your account, monthly or yearly: Maker ($7.99 a month or $59 a year) or Atelier ($14.99 a month or $119 a year), or the same figures in euros.
- Ask within 14 days of that payment. You do not need to give a reason, though we are always glad to learn what did not work for you.
- We refund the full amount you paid, taxes included.
- Once refunded, the paid plan ends and your account returns to the Free plan. Your patterns, measurements and profiles stay in your account.
- The promise applies once per person. We may decline requests that are clearly abusive, for example several accounts opened to get repeated refunds.
How to ask for a refund
- Write to hello@sewly.app from the e-mail address of your Sewly account, or tell us which address your account uses.
- Say that you would like a refund. A reason is welcome but not required.
- We confirm by e-mail, usually within a working day, and issue the refund.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Stripe, in the currency you paid. They usually appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. We charge no fee for a refund; any currency conversion by your bank is outside our control.
Yearly plans
The 14-day refund applies in full to a first yearly payment. After those 14 days, a yearly plan is not refunded pro rata if you cancel: it stays active until the end of the year you paid for and does not renew.
Renewals
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically. To avoid the next charge, cancel from your account before the renewal date. Before a yearly plan renews, we send you a reminder by e-mail.
Renewal payments are not covered by the 14-day refund. But if a renewal went through by mistake and you have not used your paid features since (no printing and no AI beyond the Free plan), write to us within 14 days of the renewal and we will usually refund it. This is at our discretion and decided case by case.
Canceling your plan
You can cancel anytime from your account page in the app. You will not be charged again; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your account returns to the Free plan with all your patterns.
When we refund without being asked
If we close Sewly, remove a paid feature you rely on, or close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of your paid period.
Chargebacks
If something looks wrong with a payment, please write to us before you contact your bank: we can usually refund you much faster than a payment dispute, which takes weeks.
If you open a chargeback, we answer it through Stripe with the details of your subscription and your use of Sewly, and your paid plan may be paused while the dispute is open. If a payment was made without your permission, for example with a card used by someone else, tell us as well: we cancel the subscription at once. Chargebacks opened to get the service for free may lead us to close the account.
Your legal rights
This policy adds to your legal rights and does not reduce them. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the legal guarantee of conformity and the rules on the right of withdrawal described in our terms of service.
